harry potter and order of the phoenix - “Harry… It’s not how you are alike. It’s how you are not… “
Harry learns even more about Snape’s darkest memories when practicing Occlumency (Including Lily).
You know what pisses me off about this? It would’ve been the perfect opportunity to show the audience exactly why Snape was so vile to Lily. I was okay with them leaving it out in OOTP because I was hopeful that they would explore it more in the seventh movie. I had hight hopes they would do Lily Evans and James Potter a justice that had been ruined in previous movies.
Instead they sat there and they handed the audience the sob story that Severus I’m-An-Emotionally-Abusive-Stalker Snape was cheated out of Lily’s love simply because the ‘popular’ bloke managed to marry her. They don’t mention the fact that Snape was particularly vile and manipulative to Lily. They just twist it so that it made people who didn’t read the books think: “Well why on earth would Lily marry James Potter if he was just an arse I wish she had picked Snape instead.”
WHEN IN ALL ACTUALITY Severus Snape didn’t love Lily. He is almost the fanon version of James Potter in some aspects. Severus Snape thought he deserved Lily. He lusted after the witch. He didn’t even respect her. He was emotionally abusive. In just one chapter of Deathly Hallows we had him constantly reminding her that they were “friends…best friends” AND THEN the idiot would turn around and call her ‘mudblood’. I mean, that’s like in an emotionally abusive marriage where the victim is reminded constantly how lost they’d be without their abuser.
What i wouldn’t pay for this scene to actually be done right and with actors who look their ages and play their parts well.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

A woman can fight just the same as a man can fight, a woman can do magic just as powerfully as a man can do magic and I consider that I’ve written a lot of well-rounded female characters in these books. - JK Rowling
The Goblet of Fire! Anyone wishing to submit themselves to the tournament need only write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly! If chosen, there’s no turning back.
Every day, every hour, this very minute, perhaps, dark forces attempt to penetrate this castle’s walls.
